Happy birthday to Queensbridge rap hero Nas who celebrates his 38th born day today. The hip-hop legend is currently in the midst of a headlining stint on the 2011 “Rock The Bells” tour and recently spoke on his plans for the big day.

“The illest thing about that is, I got a birthday coming up and I was thinking do I want to go out and celebrate or do I want to just chill at home” Nas revealed to Huffington Post writer Brennan Williams. “And if I celebrate, what kind of celebration? Party, dinner, what are we doing? So I was kind of thinking about if I did go out on my birthday how to do that.”

In addition to touring, Nas is presently hard at work on his 10th studio album, Life Is Good. One of track’s off the upcoming record buzzing the streets, “Nasty” has been in rotation on radio with the video shot and ready to go. According to Esco the clip should be released any day now.

“That’s coming ASAP” Nas said referring to the “Nasty” visual. “It’s going to be a little something to hang out there for the people while I get ready for the next one to drop. That should be out any day now. I think maybe a week from now. Hopefully before my New York show on September 3.”

Touring and recording isn’t all the prolific MC has in the works. Next year Nas plans to release his first memoir titled “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” with publisher giant Simon & Schuster penned by journalist Touré. The autobiography will explore Nas’ upbringing in the notorious Queensbridge Houses starting with the death of his close friend Ill Will to his personal relationship with his daughter’s mother Carmen Bryant and the historical feud with fellow rapper Jay-Z.
