Two men were indicted Monday 08.17.2020 for their involvement in the murder of Run-DMC‘s DJ, Jam Master Jay.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that one of the suspects was mad they had been cut out of a drug deal. The DJ reportedly acquired 10 kilos of cocaine but decided Ronald Washington wasn’t necessary to move the drugs. Both men are charged with murder while engaged in narcotics trafficking and firearm-related murder for the fatal shooting, and face 20 years to life in prison if convicted.

Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan Junior were indicted on charges of murder while engaged in drug trafficking. Jam Master Jay, real name Jason Mizell, was shot and killed in October of 2002 in a Queens, New York recording studio. His death remained a mystery since then, though Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan were previously linked to JMJ in the Netflix documentary ReMastered: Who Killed Jam Master Jay? (NBC New York)
