Maurice White, founder and singer of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, has died at the age of 74 in his Los Angeles home. His brother, Verdine, confirmed his death with a statement that read, “My brother, hero and best friend Maurice White passed away peacefully last night in his sleep.” Maurice suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. His family has asked for privacy during this time. May his soul rest in peace.
