The album \u201cRaising Hell\u201d by Run-DMC is released, on Profile Records, on this day in 1986.<\/p>\n

The chart topping third album by the legendary Hollis, Queens group would feature a cover of Aerosmith\u2019s \u201cWalk This Way\u201d, a collaboration with the latter rock band\u2019s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, whose accompanying music video would become an instant MTV fan favorite, propelling Run-DMC, and hip-hop itself, into the world of mainstream pop, as well as reviving the career of Aerosmith as well.<\/p>\n

The album also featured the hits \u201cIt\u2019s Tricky\u201d, \u201cMy Adidas\u201d, \u201cYou Be Illin\u2019\u201d and the hip-hop classics \u201cPeter Piper\u201d and \u201cDumb Girl.\u201d I remember it was on of the 1st tapes I think I had that was clear\/see through and not white…and the text wore off but I always seemed to know what side was what!
