On August 11, 1973, DJ Kool Herc threw his first jam in The Bronx. Sedgwick & Cedar honors this day with a huge sale.<\/p>\n

On August 11, 1973, Clive Campbell a\/k\/a DJ Kool Herc distributed the following flyer around his South Bronx community. The headlining deejay would be joined by Coco, Cindy C, Klark K and Timmy T in a seven-hour jam at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, in the recreation room. The “back to school” jam would change history as we knew it.<\/p>\n
