Carter Godwin Woodson<\/b>\u00a0(December 19, 1875\u00a0\u2013 April 3, 1950)^{[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0was an African-American historian, author, journalist and the founder of the\u00a0Association for the Study of African American Life and History<\/a>. He was one of the first scholars to study\u00a0African-American history<\/a>.
