A Philadelphia judge has halted the execution of Philly rapper Cool C <\/a>for the second time<\/em><\/p>\n Philadelphia rap veteran Christopher Roney a.k.a. Cool C<\/strong> will live another day after a local judge granted him a second stay of execution. In December, Cool C, best known for the late 90s hit \u201cGlamorous Life,\u201d was granted an emergency stay of execution by Philly Judge L. Felipe Restrepo; Philadelphia\u2019s NBC 10<\/a> reports. His first was in 2006.<\/p>\n Cool C, 44, was convicted of the first degree murder of Officer Lauretha Vaird, when the 43 year old, nine year veteran responded to a bank robbery call in 1996 when Roney, his mentor Steady B aka Warren McClone ,and Philly rapper Mark Canty attempted to rob a PNC almost 19 years ago. Canty and McClone both received life in prison for their roles in the crime.
