There are male artists who are truly talented, but who I will not give the time of day because they have disappointed me to my core in the way they address women. Does the fact that we have let it continue for so long and get to the point where we are all basically strippers on the pole mean that we condone it? Because we are all subjected to this, but there is no larger conversation – no outrage – no boycotting of misogynistic music mean that we condone it? Am I a hypocrite if I listen? Do I agree with it by nodding my head? See…too much. LOL I love Hip Hop – does Hip Hop love me back?
